Educational tours
Experience one of Victoria’s largest cultural attractions with an engaging and educational excursion for school groups of all ages.
Explore the largest Buddhist stupa in the western world, right here in Bendigo! Students will embark on a 1.5 hour tour with a friendly and knowledgeable guide, beginning in our Visitor Centre. After viewing a short introductory film giving some history of the site, students head out into the Peace Park to learn about interfaith harmony with installations from Catholic, Jewish, Hindu, Sikh, Bahai and Buddhist faiths.
Students will be awed when going inside the Great Stupa temple where the guide will talk about Buddhist culture, architecture and art, with time for a Q & A at the end. Students will have the opportunity to learn humanities concepts that link to curriculum standards, as well as develop intercultural and ethical capabilities. Tours can be tailored to the students’ year level and curriculum outcomes.

- $80 for groups of 10 or fewer students
- $8 per additional student
- Teachers and carers free
